Rep. Hampton to host forum on senior issues

Simsbury residents and their families are invited to attend a discussion of issues related to senior citizens.

Issues Affecting Seniors Forum

Tuesday • November 12

10:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon

Simsbury Public Library • Tariffville Room

State Rep. John Hampton (D-Simsbury), who is vice-chair of the legislature’s Aging Committee, will host the forum.


He will be joined by Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz as well as representatives from AARP, the state Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, the senior citizen advocacy group For All Ages, the Simsbury Senior Center and the Aging and Disability Commission.


Issues will range from prescription drug prices, aging in place, tax exemptions on social security and pensions, and other health and wellness issues.
