Businesses are seeking creative ways to better promote their products and services during these difficult COVID times.

Since 2015, the Avon Chamber of Commerce has spearheaded a Local First program that offers an opportunity for Farmington Valley shoppers to take advantage of some neighborhood deals. Whenever consumers shop locally, a significant amount of the money spent stays in the community. Shopping locally also creates additional job opportunities and can support many local civic and nonprofit organizations.

Participating businesses extend exclusive discounts and bargains on many of their items. From specials on fine restaurants and first-rate hotels, to deals at numerous retail shops, to professionals offering discounts on services — there are multiple attractive offers for savvy consumers.
